Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The pipe crew continued installation of storm line located next to the basement Lots #38 and #39. Soil lifts were placed approximately 8 to 12 inches in thickness and compacted using a trench roller and a vibrating sheep-foot roller.

The grading crew is finished grading Lots #38 and #39. The contractor is spreading approximately 6 to 8 inches of soil and compacting using a vibrating sheep-foot roller. ASEC watched as loaded off road trucks rolled across the lift to check for stability. There was no severe pumping or deflection present. Density testing will be performed once these lots have been finished.
