Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our representative observed the crew working between manholes F1 and F2, where excavation activities were performed to the required depth and alignment for pipe installation. After reaching the required grade, the crew placed and leveled No. 59 stone bedding along the trench bottom. The crew then installed 24-inch RCP pipe while maintaining line and slope. No backfilling operations were performed during the day. The contractor stated that backfill material placement and compaction activities would be performed on the following day.
