Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the wall contractor continue backfill for the north side bridge abutment. The grading contractor continued to haul in suitable fill that was placed in compacted lifts. The fill placement was visually observed by probing using a rounded end steel rod and appeared to be compacted suitable for requirements of 95%. Onsite stockpile materials were placed and compacted at outside wing walls in non-structural areas.

The writer also continued observing subgrade soils being undercut for the drive entrance to Seven Hills, 4 lots, phase 13. The subgrade soils observed were probed using a rounded end steel rod which appeared stable and was approved for base stone placement.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
