Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Crew continued working at Wall 4 by installing CMU blocks in accordance with the project plans and specifications. After the block installation, fill material was placed in lifts and each lift was compacted using a trench compactor and sheep-foot roller to achieve density and stability. Additional fill material was also placed behind the wall in a single lift and compacted using a trench compactor.
Another crew continued working in the temporary pond area near CO@R/W, where fill material was placed in lifts, spread evenly with a crawler bulldozer, and compacted using a sheep-foot roller.
A separate crew worked between manhole 2.3CB and manhole 3.1CB, where approximately 25 feet of DIP pipe was installed. The crew prepared and leveled the sub-grade, placed No. 59 stone for bedding, and installed the pipe. Backfill material was then placed in lifts around the pipe and compacted using both a trench compactor and a mini sheep-foot roller.
No activities were performed at the Neighborhood Buford area on this day.
