Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
At the proposed pond dam concrete spillway, the subgrade soil conditions were visually inspected prior to the start of concrete spillway construction. The front slope of the pond dam, top of dam and back slope were visually inspected and found to be of suitable material and bearing capable of supporting the proposed spillway. These areas appeared stable and ready for the next phase of work.
The survey crew established and verified the layout stakes for the spillway centerline, spillway limits, and adjacent dam slopes in accordance with the construction plans. The staking provided reference points for spillway alignment, toe locations, and grading limits associated with the pond dam improvements.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
