Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe and assist observation of the final wall pour for the west side bridge abutment. The wall contractor poured 36 cubic yards of a 5000-psi mix. The writer ordered three extra cylinders to be made for early breaks, two at three days and one at six days. Remaining cylinders will be broken at scheduled dates, 1 @ 7 days, 3 @28 days with 1 reserve.
