Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew 1 continued installation of the sanitary sewer system between Manholes B3 and B4. The crew installed the 8-inch DIP sewer main and completed 6-inch sewer service connections extending to both the left and right sides of the main line. Additionally, vertical 6-inch sewer risers (future service stub-outs) were installed to provide connection points for future lot sewer services in accordance with the project plans.

Crew 2 continued storm drainage operations from SWCB 3.1 to SWCB 3.2. The crew leveled the subgrade, placed gravel bedding, and installed 24-inch HDPE pipe for an approximate length of 122 lineal feet. After pipe installation, gravel was placed above the pipe as initial backfill. The crew also worked between SWCB 3.1 and SWCB 4.1, where subgrade soils were leveled and 18-inch HDPE pipe was installed and backfill material placed but yet to be compacted.

Crew 3 continued sanitary sewer work near Manhole SSC1, where the DIP sewer main had been previously installed. The crew installed 6-inch sewer service connections extending to both the left and right sides of the main line. Vertical 6-inch sewer risers (future service stub-outs) were also installed to provide connection points for future lot sewer services in accordance with the project plans.

Crew 4 continued fill operations at Lots #31, 32, and 33. Fill material was placed and spread using a crawler bulldozer and compacted using both a Caterpillar 815 compactor and a sheep-foot roller.
