Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

At Lots 29 and 30, the crew continued fill placement and compaction activities. Fill material was placed, spread, and leveled to provide a uniform lift before being compacted using a sheep foot roller. Multiple roller passes were made across the lot areas to achieve consistent compaction. I observed the placement and compaction operations and performed in-place density testing at selected locations within both lots. The density test results met the required project compaction specifications at the locations tested. The compacted fill appeared firm, uniform, and stable at the time of inspection.

In-place density tests were performed on the backfill between SSMH Z19.1 and SSMH Z19.2. The test results met the required project compaction criteria at the locations tested.
