Observations/Finding

On the above date the writer was onsite as requested and observed proof rolling of sub grade at Nature Walk parkway after 2″ to 6″ of fill soil was added to existing sub grade.The proof roll was observed along with members from the Paving contractor (NWGP),Paulding Co. and Thompson Grading using a tandem dump truck having 18.79 tons of base stone.The sub grade was observed between sanitary sewer manholes #12 and 14 approximately 842 linear feet.The sub grade appeared stable under traffic but had several areas with scabbing and sheer movement which varies from slight to moderate.Some areas with moderate movement were identified and painted for repair.The Paving contractor also begin placing base stone over sub grade soils as recommended.Also it was recommended to keep additional traffic off sub grade soils to prevent further repairs.

The writer also observed repairs being made at unit 4 phase 3 eroded slopes and fill placement at future lots.

Also observed work activities at west side bridge abutment installation of reinforcing at dead man footing.

The Grading contractor also begin sub grade prep.for sidewalk and curb backfill at deceleration lane on Seven Hills Boulevard to phase 13 lots and also observed the Pipe contractor (Savannah) continue sanitary sewer installation between structure Z19.1 and Z 20.
