Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was onsite to observe the grading contractor continue placing fill for building Lots #33 and 34, performing density tests using a Troxler Nuclear gauge model 3430, serial no. 91643. Compaction results were in compliance with project specifications.
The writer observed the pipe contractor installing 16″steel casing for 8″ ductile iron sewer line between manholes #C 13 and C 14. The casing was bedded on No. 57 stone crossing three gas lines with 3.5′ to 5.5′ clearance that was monitored by a representative from Plantation Gas Line.
The writer also observed the grading contractor placing fill at the north side dam embankment of the detention pond. Density tests were performed and appeared to be in compliance with site specifications.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
