Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Lot 145-14

Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing was performed at two locations within Lot 145-14. The encountered material consisted of red silty clayey sand.

• Test 1: 9 blows at 1 ft and 9 blows at 2 ft; auger refusal was encountered below 2 ft.
• Test 2: 14 blows at 1 ft and 13 blows at 2 ft; auger refusal was encountered below 2 ft.

Lot 28-18

• Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing was performed at three locations within Lot 28-18. The encountered material consisted of red silty clayey sand.

• Test 1: 9 blows at 1 ft and 11 blows at 2 ft; auger refusal was encountered below 2 ft.
• Test 2: 13 blows at 1 ft; auger refusal was encountered below 1 ft.
• Test 3: 14 blows at 1 ft; auger refusal was encountered below 1 ft.
