Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date, our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor Thompson continue placing fill for the roadway near detention pond A. The writer performed density tests using a Troxler Nuclear gauge model 3430, serial no. 91643. Compaction results were in compliance with job specifications. The contractor also continued placing fill for the roadway slope embankment using topsoil with recommendations for compacting efforts. The contractor also continued to cut fill at Lots #1 through 9.
The writer observed in place fill for Pond A OCS 36″ RCP storm line by probing using a rounded end steel rod. The contractor was informed that additional compacting efforts are required prior to additional fill placement.
The paving contractor NWGP continued subbase preparation for Naturewalk parkway placing and compacting subbase stone.
The curbing contractor J&W continued 24″ curbing installation at Unit 4 Phase 2 main roadway and placing 38 cubic yards of 3000 psi concrete mix, approximately (800) lineal feet.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
