Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Roadway subgrade proof-rolling was performed by the contractor using a loaded dump truck at the following locations:
1. Entrance – Acceleration and Deceleration Lanes:
Proof-rolling was performed on the sub-grade within the acceleration and deceleration lane areas at the project entrance near East Cherokee Drive. No pumping, rutting, excessive deflection, or other signs of instability were observed during proof rolling. The sub-grade was considered acceptable for placement of aggregate base.
2. Curb Side:
Proof-rolling was performed on the subgrade along the curb-side area, including the areas near inlet DWCB-D4. No pumping, rutting, excessive deflection, or other signs of instability were observed. The proof-rolled sub-grade was considered acceptable for placement of aggregate base.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
