Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor Thompson continue backfilling at the west side bridge abutment and also placing GAB one foot off the wall to increase compacting efforts as recommended. The contractor also built the ramp with GAB that will remain in place for the recommended twenty-foot area to increase subbase stone from 8″ to 12″.

The writer observed the paving contractor NWGP regrading and compacting subbase stone at NatureWalk parkway as recommended to increase asphalt depth to 3.5″.
