Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor Thompson performing subgrade preparation at NatureWalk Parkway east side of bridge adding additional fill at subgrade. The contractor used fill soils excavated from the west side of bridge existing subgrade.
The writer observed the grading contractor continue placing materials from the stockpile at Shelly Boulevard over rock fill from the borrow pit south of building Lot #24. The contractor also placed some of the stockpiled materials as structural fill for the new roadway at Shelly Boulevard.
The pipe contractor Savannah also continued excavating and installing 18″ RCP storm between B6 and B8.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
