Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative observed the grading contractor demo asphalt at the roundabout and hauling the materials offsite. The contractor also continued de-mucking wash silt at the Unit 4, Phase 2 detention pond. This material was spread next to the amenity parking lot for drying and to be placed at the slope area.
The writer also met with the curbing contractor J&W to discuss installation of reinforcing steel for the roundabout curbing. The installation discussed were to add drilled dowels into the back of the outer curb and the front of the inner curb using #5 rebar at 12″ on center. The writer also is planning to meet with county officials to discuss recommendations from the county for additional requirements.
The drilling contractor was also onsite and began drilling rock at Unit 4, Phase 3 for blasting hard rock.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
