Observations/Finding

The downcutt and backfilling activities were carried out as usual for the day. The downcutt is in a close by cut area and is done by the 349E CAT Excavator. The two heat duity 745C Loading Truck did hauling of first from cut area to the backfill area.

The back fill location is at Lots# 48 & 49. The 61Pxi Komatsu Bulldozer spread the hauled dirt whereas the 815F sheet foot CAT Roller compacted the dirt.

Nuclear gauge test shows 95% compaction and slightly higher moisture to the optimum. However, proof rolling shows no pumping suggesting good compaction.

The total area of backfill for the day is 160×100 square feet.
