Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was onsite to observe and assist in testing concrete placement for the dead man footing for the east side wall. One set of (6) 4 x 8 test cylinders were made for the 50 cubic yards poured.

Continued observation of reinforcing steel being installed for the bridge slab panels. Recommendations made were to move vertical bars off top of nelson stubs in panels for sufficient clearance. Contractor also completed clean-up of trash and debris off panels. The writer observed added #6 bars (vertical) under the support plate holding threaded dowel bolts for hanging the sanitary sewer line under the bridge.
