Observations/Finding

Our AS Engineering & Consulting (ASEC) representative arrived on site to observe field activities. The following tasks were performed:

Observed cutting and fill placement throughout the day from nearby roadway and other cut areas.  Grade work completed using a 349E CAT excavator and two heavy duty dump trucks (745C).  Fill was spread and compacted by a 61Ppxi Komatsu Bulldozer and 815F CAT roller, respectively.

The Nuclear gauge test showed moisture ranging 23-28% and compaction ranging 95.1%-100%. Moreover, proof-rolling displayed no severe pumping or rutting.  In addition, approximately 150 feet of sewer line trench was excavated and placed with backfilling beginning tomorrow. The sewer line trench was excavated between Manholes E1 and E2.
