Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above our representative was on site to observe the pipe contractor continue backfilling 30″ RCP storm line between manholes #B6, B7 and B10. The backfill was observed by probing in-place compacted fill using a rounded end steel rod. Compacting efforts observed were suitable for required job specifications.
The paving contractor was on site and continued subbase stone placement and subgrade repairs between sanitary sewer manholes #9 and 6. The contractor bladed and compacted base stone wetting and compacting using a vibratory smooth drum roller. The contractor also performed subgrade preparation between sanitary sewer manholes #6 and 4 to observe for proof-rolling. The subgrade was proof-rolled using a loaded tandem dump truck loaded with 18 tons of base stone. Several isolated areas were observed having slight to moderate movement under traffic and was recommended for clipping -2″ to -8″ and replacing with additional base stone and geotextile fabric as needed. All areas were identified by spray paint and will be observed during clip removal.
The curbing contractor was on site and formed and poured bases for single and double wing curb inlets at Nature Walk Boulevard between sanitary sewer manholes #9 and 6.
The grading contractor worked at Nature Walk Boulevard backfilling outside curbing and inside island curbing.
The water line contractor was also on site and continued installing and backfilling 8″ ductile iron water line between sanitary sewer manholes #9 and 10.
The drilling contractor (Advance) was on site and continued drilling at Lot #37 using two drill rigs.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
