Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day:

Area 2:
Excavation continued using a Caterpillar 349F excavator to an approximate depth of 10 feet and a length of 200 feet. Primer was applied to the wall, followed by installation of a waterproofing membrane.

Approximately 6 inches of No. 89 stone was placed around a 4-inch black corrugated pipe with sleeve. The pipe installation was coordinated with on-site surveyors to verify proper slope for drainage.

Area 4:
Excavation activities continued. Primer and waterproofing membrane were applied to the existing wall within the trench, which measures approximately 11 feet in depth and 175 feet in length.

Area 3:
Sheet piles were installed, and topsoil was removed from the area.

Area 6:
Sheet piles were installed. No excavation activities have commenced in this area at this time.

Area 5:
ABC Contractors were on site and drilled an approximately 6-inch diameter hole through the wall for drainage at a depth of about 3 feet. The trench excavated measured approximately 3 feet deep and 95 feet in length.

Approximately 6 inches of No. 89 stone was installed around a 4-inch sleeved corrugated pipe.
