Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was onsite to observe the paving contractor continue placing base stone for Nature Walk Parkway between sanitary sewer manholes #12 and 14. Our representative monitored traffic from other subcontractors traveling on existing subgrade soils prior to base stone being placed. The additional traffic is causing moderate rutting and scabbing with decisions being made to clip or compact to stabilize. Additional observations will be made during proof-rolling of subbase stone.
The grading contractor continued to place fill for unit 4, phase 3, also repairing reels at eroded slope areas. The fill placement is also being monitored and tested by another technician from ASEC.
The wall contractor continued installing reinforcing steel for the bridge floor slab.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
