Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was onsite to assist in observing and sampling during the concrete pour for the second wall pour for the dead man footing. The contractor placed approximately 58 cubic yards 0f 5000 psi mix. Two (2) sets of six 4 x 8 cylinders were molded during the concrete pour.
Observed the paving contractor continuing repairs for the Naturewalk parkway subbase stone between sanitary sewer manholes #12 and 14. The contractor replaced washed subbase stone that had eroded from the curb line. The subbase stone was compacted and was suitable for concrete placement.
Observed the grading contractor continue placing fill for the Unit 4 phase 3 building lots. The fill being placed today was for the top four feet of building Lots #132 through 136 and was observed having compaction efforts below the required specification of 95%. The contractor was allowed to continue placing lifts of fill with the understanding that in-place fill would be re compacted at a later date after scarifying and aerating has occurred. This area will be retested at that time.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
