Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative observed the paving contractor NWGP continue subgrade preparation at the roundabout clipping subgrade soils and stabling at the westside drive to the bridge using Tensar stablization fabric in one isolated area twenty feet long in areas already clipped 4″. The contractor completed subgrade preparation, and it was approved for the placement of subbase stone. The contractor continued subbase preparation at the roundabout and also subbase preparation at Nature Walk Parway, west side of bridge, by wetting and compacting.

The grading contractor Thompson begin demucking wash silt from detention pond at Unit 4, Phase 2. The excavated silt materials were removed using a long reach backhoe and was spread along the existing slope at the back of amenity parking lot.
